Monthly Inspirational Word – On behalf of everyone at Grand Rapids Veg Fest we are hoping that you had a blessed and safe new years and are beyond ready for what 2016 has in store for ourselves, families, and the universe. Last month we focused on “gratitude” and how we can lead a more thankful existence and impact the world in a positive way.
After the holidays, I began reading the book, The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. Her book focuses on happiness and how people can increase their levels of happiness and satisfaction naturally. Gretchen states that we do not have to be depressed or unhappy to increase our happiness, but have the desire to increase it with in ourselves. Her book is extremely powerful and moving and has inspired me to create an abundance of happiness in my daily life. Therefore, This month it is my pleasure to announce that happiness will be the main focus. I truly feel that we can all benefit by adding some richness and fullness to our every day lives. One can do this by focusing creating a list of ideas and goals to accomplish to make them more happy, writing down the life lessons you have learned thus far in order to learn not to sweat the small things and lastly brainstorm 12 rules to live by. I have done just so and have already increased my happiness in 2 weeks. How far can you go?
